Jon's off sick today, but tomorrow, we're talking about finding a pub around here that serves Tuborg . . .

Update: Kate helpfully provides a list of Danish products you may wish to consider purchasing.

I am pretty sure Carlsberg is Canadian produced under license while Tuborg and Faxe are imported. The latter two send more of an economic message. Posted by: Alan at February 6, 2006 02:07 PM
Amother reason to like the Danes: http://auschwitz.dk/Denmark.htm [I have not vetted that whole site so I hope it is factual but I think you get my drft.] Posted by: Alan at February 6, 2006 02:10 PM
I remember reading about the Danish reaction to the Holocaust when I was about nine or ten (I got into military history very early on). At the time, I didn't know who the Jews were, or why Hitler was so determined to destroy them, but the Danes impressed the hell out of me at that tender age. The full story may be less heroic than I recall, but compared to other nations in Europe (not mentioning France by name), the Danes were brilliantly heroic. I learned about it from a friends Grannie as I recall when I was visiting for Friday dinner so my recollection is that it is recognized as fairly heroic. Posted by: Alan at February 6, 2006 04:59 PM
