Radley Balko's advice to Obama

Radley Balko knows there's no chance of being heard, but offers some key ideas to the new Obama administration anyway:

  • Increase government transparency.
  • Open up the White House.
  • Swear off executive privilege.
  • Revamp the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Investigate the Bush administration.
  • Make fighting public corruption a top priority of your justice department.
  • Use the pardon.

Chance of these ideas being taken up and implemented? Slim, unfortunately.
